Ash Scan Duo – Online coal Ash & Moisture Analyser

The Ash Scan Duo® utilises two radioactive gamma sources – a high energy gamma ray (CS-137) and a low energy gamma ray (Am-241). Along with the absorption of these two attenuated gamma rays and combining additional microwave technology, moisture can also be measured online for the same coal cross- sectional area. The above three parameters forms the basis of a regression equation which can give the calorific value. The AshScan Duo is commonly used in the coal and power industries for quality control, metallurgical accounting.
